Many moons ago my family and I went bankrupt.   We lost every material thing that we had.  With a toddler in tow, we moved out of our home and into an apartment.   The Tinkerbell fairy land room stayed behind.

During this time I felt like a complete failure and spent about 2 months feeling sorry for myself and realizing life is a little harder than it looks.
One day I decided to just paint.   Painting was always a form of therapy even though I didn’t realize it at the time.
As I painted again, something interesting happened….my sense of hope returned.   A sense of excitement of what could be…
Painting (and prayer of course) got me out of the sadness.   It made me realize we can make a choice of how we want to live our life.
No matter what the world throws at us we always have a choice of how we will react to the situation.

Each day… every moment.
We get to choose who we want to be.
We get to choose how we want our children to see us.
We get to choose who we see in the mirror.
This year is coming to a close and I was listening to a podcast the other day about how most people quit their new years resolution before the 15th day of Jan.

BUT, what REALLY helps people with happiness is making progress.   Progress towards something (small choices) that will eventually get you to the life you want to live.
Check out this short video I made for you about Progress VS. Change.
I also talk about 3 different ways I can help you if you want to teach a few paint parties in the new year!
I’m so hopeful for you and your painting adventures!   I can’t wait to see what you do in 2019 and I’d love to be a fly on the wall helping you succeed!
